I was looking forward for my first Queen-concert 1988/89, when they published "The Miracle". 2 Concerts in Vienna were planned. But suddenly they canceled the tour, and Freddie said, he's too old for live-shows. (Now we know the real reason, why they cancelled.)

I never got to see them live. I gave up the chance of seeing them in 1986 (Newcastle). Can't remember for what reason though. The closest I have come to see them (well, not actually Queen) is the One night of Queen show with Stars in their eyes winner Gary Mullen. They're fantastic. I saw them 18 months ago and I've got front row tickets to see them again this June. I had front row tickets also for last November but was cancelled at the last minute as Gary had problems with his throat. Has anyone else seen this show? If so, whats your comments?

I just saw QPR 2 hours ago and it was definatley worth seeing. Paul Rodgers is a good singer in his own right and definatley has the vocal range for Queen's music.
They shared the stage well and all 3 of them contributed.
Then, close to the end, they played WWRY and put us all on our feet. Then, Paul hit it with All Right Now and it f'n floored us and the crowd went BANANA. We Are The Champions was the last with an adlibbed verse about Milwaukee.
Yes, I loved it.

Hi folks just found this board. I was lucky enough to see them 19 times in the US (a pretty deacent feat for a yank!) my 1st show was 2/6/76. (20 if you count my 1 +PR show this year which was great) I was just about to turn 14 and NY was being hit with a snowstorm that night (what were my parents thinking!) anyway a friends big brother took us. My fav was of course the 1st and being 6th row definately helped. I was in the first 10 rows for 3 of the 19 shows I saw. It was great!!! pm me if you have any questions. I have personal oix of Nassau 77 that no ones ever seen I will try to find them and put up a link I also recorded that show but i dont know how to "digitize" shows from tape any help appreciated.

Dont be jealous. It was just luck and a different time. I wouldnt dare let my 13 year old go into new york city alone or even to Nassau Coliseum now. I was able to go to those 3 night and 2 night runs at MSG and Nassau throughout the late 70's up to the last US tour in 82 so thats how I got up to 19 shows. Im pretty sure there was a Meadowlands NJ or 2 in there as well as 1 Hartford CT show. Funny story My sister and I and about 10 others also chased Roger and John's cars out of Madison Square Garden after sound check in either 77 or 78 (it's all a blur) they did wave but I think they were more terrified then anything else, I still could see the fear in their faces when I think about it. PS...The price of my 6th row ticket for 2/6/76 was about $7.00 might have even been $6.50!!!!
